Richmond
Once Carol had arrived in Hobart the first place to explore was Richmond (though I stayed here for one night I did not really explore Richmond) which was not far from our stay in Hobart, and could easily be achieved in the afternoon of Carol’s arrival (Though we did return a few times later either passing through or for the markets each time we also took time to see things we did not earlier.)
First stop was the convict-built bridge then a stroll through the town to admire the convict built Georgian Buildings including the gaol. and even a model of Old Hobart Town (this helps to explain Hobart now)
During the time we were in Hobart together we also visited other Convict Era Towns of Ross, Campbell Town and Oatlands, each with its wealth of History two with their own famous bridges
