The reason we were staying at Left of Field was that is as close to Lake Gordon and Lake Pedder that we could stay with Mon Chéri as they are both in the Franklin, Gordon, Wild Rivers National Park so no dogs allowed, we could visit but not stay, technically she could not even be in our car, she could how ever stay in our caravan for day trips into the park. (Before anyone comments that caravan parks have rules against this as long as they do not get a complaint about noise they do not care and MM is very quiet when left alone with the air conditioner on for comfort.)

Strathgordon was the first of a long day trips along with the four dams that make the two lakes, the Gordon Dam. Serpentine Dam, Scotts Peak Dam and the Edgar Dam along with McPartlan Canal that joins the two lakes
