The North Coast - Western End Pt 1
Devonport to Penguin
While staying at Turners Beach as a group we visited Beauty Point and Beaconsfield the scene of a mine rock fall that trapped two miners.
We also took the time as we were close enough to visit the Cradle Mountain National Park and walking around Dove Lake. When we first arrived we could not see the mountain as it was shrouded on low cloud and mist this was a little disappointing but as the day progressed the sun emerges to give us the view we wanted.
It was about now that I realised while I had planned to travel Tasmania clockwise and booked my places for the school holidays the remainder of the group actually plans to go in the opposite direction so here, we parted way but promising to keep each other informed upon our progress and trying to meet up whenever we could.
As I will be revisiting this area I will add photos on the revisit so look for them later in the trip log.
