To Townsville

Not my favourite place to stay, and to make it worse we stayed at the same park as last year even in the same spot (Never again at this park  Big 4 Gateway ) with all the same problems Green Tree Ants that we complained about last year, the lack of maintenance, were still evident if anything it was worse.
We came to Townsville so that Carol could see an old family friend, this we did with pleasure. But what to do for the rest of our stay as we had explored the area last year, Townsville’s extended stay of 4 nights was too long but it was so to arrive in Cairns at a time we could again meet up with Barry and Di who were both having health problems.

We did take the advantage of backtracking a little to explore the Ayr and Home Hill areas in hind sight this is where we should have stayed, as it is a much more interesting place.

We also managed to visit Wallerman Falls
