To Brandybottle
We first stayed here last year when we met Bary and Di for the first time. But that was only an overnight stay on our way home, this year we planned to explore Clairview and the Dugong Sanctuary which are just down the road, so that was a two-night stay and the first time on this trip where the owners (or managers) were South African.
The Dugong Sanctuary for me proved to be a disappointment as to really see the Dugongs you needed to go out in a boat which we did not have, that said it was interesting and we did get glimpses of the Dugongs when they came up to breath, but unlike Dolphins and Whales who breach Dugongs do not, so to see them needs a little luck and then you do not see them long enough for a good photo.
We had more luck when we visited St Lawrence and the St Lawrence Wetlands, where there was much wild life to see and photograph.
NOTE
St Lawrence may make a good spot to stay on future trips.
