To Cairns
Easter in Cairns was the plan, with a catch up with our friends Barry and Di.
We had been to Cairns many years ago when my parents spent their winters there, we knew that over the 40 odd years since our visit there would be many changes, but were we ready for the extent of those changes I think not.

We had been to Cairns many years ago when my parents spent their winters there, we knew that over the 40 odd years since our visit there would be many changes, but were we ready for the extent of those changes I think not.
The plan was to retrace some of the time we spent in Cairns with my parents including the train trip past the Barren falls to Kuranda only this time going on the Skyrail going up with the cable way and returning by rail.
We also visited what was the sleepy place where my parents stayed for the winter Palm Cove, which at the time was economical, but not anymore it is now up-market not the sort of place they would have stayed. Then on to Cape Tribulation which we could not go to on our first visit (The road was closed as there was a big drug bust at that time) and back tracked a little to Innesfail
Lots of memories were rekindled like Josephine falls and the Boulders.
