Australia did have dinosaurs!

This trip was planned to explore Dinosaur Country in Central Queensland the area around Winton but it was also to catch up with friends in South-East Queensland on the way.

To break up the trip north, stops were planned for South West Rocks and also Byron Bay. Both of these were two-night stops, both were very wet, fortunately we had visited them during a dry time so neither offered new photographic opportunities, only Byron offered a family catch-up.

Was rain to set in for the whole trip? It seemed so, as the East-Coast of Australia and even the area we were to visit in Central Queensland were having what some call a rain bomb.

We arrived on the Gold Coast and set-up as we had earlier in the wet, and we expected it to remain so, but we had better luck and the sun came out for our Easter stay. Though we did pack up when it was showing signs if rain.

This stop was to catch up with friends not really to sight see, but we did see the Outback Spectacular Show which we all enjoyed. The real trip begins.
