Xiamen

Time to catch up with Suzy, who by now was expecting her first child. We arrived Saturday evening and were met by Suzy at Xiamen Station and taken to our hotel, later we went to dinner with Suzy and James’ mother mostly sea food but there was also something for me.

In the morning Suzy arranged a visit to Gulanyu Island another UNESCO Heritage site.

Gulanyu Island is a place where the architecture is very much influenced be European Colonial trends due to the fact that it was once a trading hub for the Sea Silk Road, this time it was not raining and we had plenty of time to really explore all including the Piano Museum

The following day we stayed within Xiamen and retraced the steps I did with Suzy’s friends when I was there going through the University and then on to the fortifications near the “beach”
