Wuhan to Chengdu

This was our longest trip by train in China scheduled to be 9 hours without a break, I had decided in Australia that for this long trip we would travel Business Class even thought it was much more expensive than First Class, but the seats were much more comfortable for the long trip.

Business Class comes with some extra FREEBIES meals are complementary, which is a good thing as they were typical railway quality, especially the soup, there was also an endless cup of tea this was worth it as the Chinese really know how to make tea.

This trip took us through some interesting countryside from flat farmland to river flats and steep mountains with farms cut into the side of the mountain, past villages nestled in small valleys and cities with their high-rise buildings each regarded as a village.

We also saw many types of buildings from rundown old farm houses, through traditional to modern buildings. In all we did not have time to be bored with all the changes outside our windows, the camera got a real workout it is only a pity we were travelling at over 200km/h and there was dirty glass in the window, then again, the trip was long enough and it would have been a little uncomfortable with out the glass!
