Day Two
After Breakfast Andy informed me that there would be a Lion Dance Demonstration not far from the hotel we had time if I was interested to watch it before we proceeded to our next stop.
was eager to see this as though I had seen many dragon dances I had never seen a lion dance and this area is known for their lion dancing.
So off we went at first the lions were close to us and only on the ground
Later at the end of the show the more dangerous lion dances were on poles this needs trust and timing of the two people in the lion as one slip could end there careers as Lion Dancers
at the end of the show many people bought lucky tokens off the tongue of the lion for many times what they are bought for in the market stalls, this is done because it brings extra luck to buy them off the tongue.
Once the show had finished we proceeded to our next destination, an old fishing village where the fishing boats are now being used to transport tourists around the canals around which the village was built this proved to be a very interesting day
