Day One - A Traditional Pottery Village
Today Lee had arranged meet an old friend from his University days who was part of a traditional craft village where he taught and demonstrated pottery and sold his wares
This was in part of Foshan where traditionally pottery cottage industries abound making all sorts of wares for both the domestic and international markets, how ever these days with large industrial factories these became uneconomical, most vanished, today this village has been turned into a tourist attraction as a working village
We started early arriving near the village before lunch so we had lunch over looking the river
After lunch Yazmin, Lee, Johanna and I went to the village where we met Lee’s friend, who took us into the village by passing the tourist paid entry directly to his studio where later Kyra and Andy joined us.
After our visit to the village we proceeded to a local hotel for the night, at this time I was informed that the following day Yazmin and Lee would return Home and leave me with Kyra and Andy for the rest of the trip
