Shenzhen

The flight from Sydney to Hong Kong without a hitch and I cleared Customs and Immigration with no problems. The first thing I did was to buy an Seniors Octopus card for Hong Kong transport, then find the bus that would take me to Sheung Shui MTR station for the short hop to Lo Wu where I was to cross the border into China.

After a short wait I was on my way, about an hour later I was at the border again there was no problem with Customs or Immigration and I was in LuoHu, I called Jenny when I was at Sheung Shui so that I would not have to wait very long, how ever there was a slight mix-up as to where I would be waiting I went to the Local Metro station and Jenny went closer to the exit from Customs, this left both of us waiting for each other.

I again rang Jenny to say where I was bit I could not describe where I was in a way she recognised, I was lucky enough to have a local able to talk to her in Chinese and it was not long before Jenny and her family found me and I was on my way to the hotel.

Pleasantries over we then went to dinner time to get acquainted with Jenny’s Husband and two delightful children, the next two days we spent exploring Shenzhen with my old friend.

When the time had come for me to go to Tangxiazhen They offered to drive me that short distance and wait with me at my “FAVOURITE” coffee shop Starbucks (Even here in China Starbucks makes dreadful coffee) and wait till Yazmin arrived to take me to her home where I was to stay.
