Port Wakefield
Port Wakefield sounded like a BIG place but in reality it is a sleepy tiny town though it does have 3 large road houses as I entered town.
This is a good place to unwind from the excitement of Renmark and to get the awning leg fixed for now, I will have a better job done when I am home.
The spot I have in the Caravan park could not be better with water right at my door for both Mon Chéri to swim.
The town itself is an historic town which I again will do more justice to when Carol joins me on the way home as she will want to see it.
While here I did go to Lochiel and Lake Bumbunga, A Pink Salt Lake, which when it has water in it is real pink, unfortunately it dries up in winter and the colour is somewhat diluted with the salt so for my visit it was a very light pink.
Do you think the hotel might have had something to do with the sightings
While on this trip I also visited infamous Snowtown known not for the quaint town but for the bodies in the barrels, this appears to be a quiet town especially on a Saturday morning but worth the visit, Leaving Snowtown I did a little exploring near the windfarm (They really spoil the landscape in my view) and came across someone’s dream home (at least it was once) For more photos see the gallery
