Foul Bay
When I planned to come here it sounded like an interesting place to visit. After speaking to the ranger who came to ask about my permit, about the best way to go the direct 50 km DIRT road or the longer 90km mostly tared road the suggestion was that the coast (direct route) was the prettier way and road conditions were not too bad, so this was the way I chose, (warning when taking these roads signs are not always there to guide you so if you have a GPS enter the destination BEFORE you set off or you may end up on a gazetted road that is little more than a goat track! Please do not ask how I know)
The ranger was right it was a pretty drive unfortunately not many places to pull over to take photos. I did manage one
While the location of the camp site is good and has great views, I would hardly say it is bush camping as it is more like barren dirt camping no grass and the only real shade is on private property it does have a breeze to cool things down but it is still hot today.
Tomorrow I will continue on stopping at Marion Bay just for a look maybe I will come back on a day trip when I am settled in at the next “Bush Camp” not sure which one just yet.
