First full Day in Lisbon.
We needed to arrange our train tickets for the next part of our adventure Porto. So we headed down the hill to find the station, only to find a long line at what we were told was the ticket office, it was but not for our tickets we found out later, not wanting to waste time waiting here we continued on down the hill into the main part of town.
We were looking for a Church that Marilyn was told was well worth the visit, at first we could not find it so we resorted to going to a café that Marilyn found for morning tea, this proved to be on the way back to our apartment, back up the hill, but it was worth it as they had excellent Portuguese Tarts (Yummy), while there we decided to explore the square just past the café, only to find, you guessed it, the very church we were looking for down the hill. (Did I say hill more like a small mountain which we climbed at least twice each day.)
Morning tea over and two churched explored we returned back down the hill and continued to explore this area and renewing our association with Lisbon, before taking the Hop-on Hop-off bus to plan our next day into Belém finding the stops we needed to get off and on again to see the places we wanted to visit. Again climbing that hill after a good dinner in a traditional Portuguese café (I had a nice piece of steak with a coffee and pepper sauce unusual but very nice!)
