Nullarbor Part One
After the rough road out of Fowlers Bay it was a pleasure to get back on the tar, I could tell that the area had more rain than before my first trip and there was no wild life near the road, ☹ it could also have bed a result of the increased traffic travelling this once lonely road, it seems everyone is on the road, still there was enough to keep my interest in the way the nature garden looked.
As well as the Head of the Bight and the beginning of the Bunda Cliffs well worth the diversion.
To say there are no trees on the Nullarbor is a little incorrect as there are patches of scrubs no more than about 3m tall for which I was very happy as the wind was picking up and it was expected to reach gusts of 70kph not very comfortable to drive in towing a caravan.
I managed to follow two motorhomes into one of these convenient roadside patches, where they pointed to a spot sheltered from the wind that would suit me but was too small for them, so here I stayed for the night. At this time there was only one other van, the two motorhomes and myself that would soon change, by the time the winds were at the expected speed there quite a few of us scattered almost to the coast, this is where the winds came from so that was the least preferred choice.
