Tamborine Mountain area
This was not our first trip to this area we visited it during a previous trip to Coolangatta in 2019 but we were keen to revisit and spend a little more time. We also learnt that there was a place where Mon Chéri could go swimming in a National Park (quite unique but she had to remain on a lead) this being at Cedar Creek Falls.
We wanted to visit Tamborine Mountain peak as I knew it had great vistas but because of all the recent rains in the area the access road was closed for repair we did manage to take some photos near the top
and where the Canungra Hang Gliding Club launch from Robert Sowter Park Lookout.
Disappointed we could not go to the top we set out to look for Mini Monsters swimming spot Cedar Creek Falls which I entered into the GPS, upon arrival we found like all National Parks DOGS WERE NOT ALLOWED this differed from the literature we had and advice we found on the website, thus we assumed we were in the wrong place, and continued to explore for another access to Cedar Creek Falls
We travelled for some time along the road we were on and followed signs taking us onto minor back roads but it did not get us to Cedar Falls, not all was lost as it was interesting scenery and we did find a beautiful Queenslander at the end of the road,
here we again looked at the literature we had and entered the address into the GPS, we were determined to let MM have her swim.
Following the GPS, it took us back to where we were earlier, this time armed with the official written information we had that she would be allowed if we kept her on her leash, we set of down the track to the falls were swimming was allowed
where finally MM had her swim.
After which we made our way back to the car.
