Coolgardie
Coming back to Coolgardie in the morning enabled us to explore the town all day, spending time in the local museum (I must stop visiting local museums as I see far too many things I used in my youth, here even allowing me to correct a label they had on an item they had on show. Does that make me a museum piece?) where we learnt about a rescue of a miner trapped by water, the rescue utilised deep-sea divers to deliver food to the miner during the ten days it took for the rescue, and you thought the Malaysian Soccer team rescue was a first
We also enjoyed walking the streets looking at the architecture of this historic town thinking that it is not really that old, most around 100 years or less, boom and bust in a matter of years, finding Gold then having it found in bigger quantities not far away led to the downturn of Coolgardie and the rise of both Kalgoorlie and Bolder. In-turn these suffered Booms and Busts Cycles as do most mining towns during their life.
